Just got off the phone with Congressman Jim Cooper's scheduling secretary and tried to get ONE place where the congressman would appear during the august recess. I was very polite and gave no indication that I was for or against anything up for vote. She hemmed and hawed and said that the dates weren't set yet and that he had received many requests from private groups like Rotary Clubs, etc to speak and would not commit to ANY date or location. She did agree to send me a request to speak form. I think I'll send it to the local tea party group and see if he will meet with them.
Cooper claims to be a blue dog (fiscally conservative) DemocRat, yet he vote for TARP, Porkulus, the $3.4 TRILLION budget, AND cap and trade.
Just crowd, one at a time, in their offices. Take up the office time and keep them focused on the bill. Don't agree with them to meet two or more at a time. You're not arriving at the office with John Smith, you don't know his business and you want to privately discuss your concerns with your rep.
If you have any friends in a union I bet they know where he’ll be.
Allergic to feathers?
Afraid of pitchforks?
Is the DC scum actually starting to worry now, or are they just avoiding the questions?
They’re going into HIDING. This is actually a GOOD THING as it means they know the END IS NEAR (for them).
Time for a rally outside his office. Bring as many people as you can find plus the pitchforks and torches.
All the more reason to mercilessly hammer them over this monstrsity. We should all educate ourselves as to the specifics and then take that info to hammer them.
And if they cancel their meetings, then organiza and take it directly to their offices.
Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.
Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).
A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.
Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.

Also, here's a large image of the Democratic (Obama) Health Plan chart-another Obama empty promise. This is the one the House democrats are censuring. Email these links or the image to everyone you know.
Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

“The central purpose of the Constitution is to provide for the common good”
No, the central purpose of the Constitution was to LIMIT the power of the federal government.
Same thing happened to me with Barbara Boxers office.
Awesome. Government works best when they fear the people. These loons are getting the message. We’re pissed!
Jim Cooper is the worst kind of weasel: he tries to convince his constituents that he’s a good ol’ boy just like they are, confident that the Nashville Tennessean will never blow the whistle on his liberal voting record!
He was voted out and sent home to Shelbyville in 1994, so he promptly relocated to a more liberal area in hopes of once again getting his snout in the public trough, and succeeded. Pity he’s never held a real job, and has spent his whole life trading on his daddy’s reputation.
