Could someone tell me what the mystical symbols “7s 6d” mean on the Kenyan document?

The South Australian one has the same marking, but that’s the price, 7 shillings and 6 pence, with 12 pence to a shilling, and 20 shillings to a pound.

Kenya used the East African shilling, not the pound, as its currency, with 100 cents to the shilling. So 7 and a half shillings would be 7s 50c, and 7 shillings and 6 cents, while a peculiar price, would be 7s 6c

Obviously just an astonishing coincidence, some serial number that quite coincidentally is in exactly the same place as the price on the SA version. Yeah, Right.

I have never understood quid, pounds, shillings, or pence. Beats me.

And Orly says that the Bomford report was a corrupted Obot attempt to discredit her authentic document.

Let me know if you want a link.

I was in Mombassa in 1966 and remember they accepted either East African or British currency (I always asked for British change to avoid accumulating coins that could not be exchanged in the UK). I am not surprised to see 7s. 6d. on the form instead of 7.50 since decimalization was very slow arriving in the ex-colonies and 6d was still in common usage.
