Neah. I missed it in the article. He gets his expenses, at least some of them, from a foundation, which gets their money from private donations - the way things ought to be. His time he donates. The rest he eats. A very good man by any standard.
If the Federales hadn't created so many perverse incentives, we'd have more doctors like him and more money in the foundations to help them and their indigent patients, and the system would work better.
But the bureaucrats wouldn't get to build their little empires would they?
