Members of the opposition party point out the flaws and problems in your grand plans? Freeze them. Isolate them. Impugn their motives. Get them out of the way.
Citizens show up at town meetings to protest and try to influence their representatives? Belittle them. Ignore them. Avoid them. Set union thugs and goons on them. Get them out of the way.
