“Al-Qaeda claims attack in Mauritania, blames “Crusaders” and “apostate” government”
DUBAI (Reuters) -
SNIPPET: “The bomber, named as Abu Obeida Musa al-Basri, was from Nouakchott, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said on a website used by al Qaeda-linked organisations.
“This operation came in reaction to the hostility of the Crusaders — led by France — and their apostate agents against Islam and its people,” the group said in the statement, which was accompanied by images depicting Basri posing with weapons in the desert.”
