Hi abigail, being succinct is my M.O...
And thru ALL the media hype, the distraction, the attacks, the innuendo, is the population that simply says, in a calm manner:
“Mr. Obama, please provide us with a certified copy of your long form Birth Certificate, and release the information on your school records and other pertinent documentation, that will, once and for all, clear up this controversy, and allow the country to move on in a committed and cohesive manner”
This is not much to ask of the sitting President of the United States. Unless there is something to hide.

And since Title 8 of the US Code 'appears' to end any Natural Born question(1), then what's on it that he's afraid of?

Nice elaborate scenario, but it falls down for several reasons:
If Grammy Dunham and Obama’s parents signed an affidavit of home birth, Obama is on rock-solid ground legally! The only way to impeach the affidavit would be to follow the suggestions I made here:

Further, Obama, like everyone else, has no memory of his own birth! If, putatively, he was born overseas, smuggled into the country, and an affidavit sworn that he was born in Hawaii, he would have no way of knowing if this were true or not! Unless Grammy Dunham’s favorite dinner-talk topic was how he was smuggled in, etc., and the family liked to pass around pictures of Grammy Obama holding the infant Obama and the false-bottomed suitcase they used to smuggle him in and to laugh how they put one over on the govenment. Pretty far-fetched.
