Pro-life display destroyed at huge European rock festival (Festival Organizer STEAL Display)

...The pro-lifers alerted authorities 8 days before Woodstock Stop of their plans to erect a display, and then did so on municipal land, in a "good place opposite to the entrance to the festival," according to an email from 1 of the organizers, Mariusz Dzierzawski.

On the 1st day of Woodstock Stop, planners threatened pro-lifers to either remove the display or they would. The pro-lifers pushed back, and planners backed away.

Pro-lifers took turns guarding the display during the night, but according to Mariusz:

At 3 45 a.m. more than 10 men came with knives and in 2 minutes destroyed our billboards and ran away.
...On Saturday afternoon, when we were giving interviews to media, and the girls were trying to mend the billboards (I thought that it was crazy idea) came 10 festival guards and their chief gave them an order to dismantle and take the exhibition. They did. My lawyer thinks that they broke the law. I reported the situation to the police. Media are still interested. I'm going to go to the court.

I'm wondering, if an anti-death penalty group had a display out front with explicitly graphic photos of executions; would the officials react the same and tear it down?

I don't think so.

Pretty much what I figured. Not so much a Pro-life poster as it is an Anti-abortion poster. Meaning one style would profess the sanctity of life and offer counseling and assistance to women who are pregnant and need help, the other is just a G-D awful picture of a slaughtered baby. I am strongly Pro-life but, but I've had these a**wipes stick these photos in front of my kids faces and I just want to knock some friggin’ heads together.

I think it is more effective to show attractive pictures of life in utero. There are some really amazing ones.

Not saying it’s “right” or “wrong,” but my co-worker became pro-life after seeing one of these sick posters. He had been pro-abortion, but ended up working at a pro-life ministry as a result.

It is necessary to put forth the reality of the situation.

That takes pictures.

Since I was a hippie decades ago before the drugs wore off and I came to my senses...and in the spirit of the original Woodstock, here is some famous old bad poetry I just wrote which is worth slightly less than you paid for it:

Thanks, Mom...I Guess

Thanks are in order mom,
or so it would seem.
For ending my life,
my hope, my young dream.

That night I arrived to my comfy new cave,
there were rockets, I sensed, and at least one crashing wave.

What magic did flare as you and he became three.
To be the joy of your lives surely Destiny chose me.

Till morning's first light brought with it the fright,
which made one thing first now to be clear.
That though I loved you, dear mom, with all my tiny little might,
you did't seem to even know I was here.

Hours became days, my fate just a haze,
the good news had not reached you still yet.
Then came the pee test and my heart-broken gaze,
at your face now clearly filled with regret.

Perhaps it is daddy who'll love me dear,
and find me so unbearably cute.
But it's your 'civilized' Society I now fear,
it deeming his will and mine to be moot.

What kind of place are you running out there,
where daddys and daughters and sons,
Must sit on their hands or pull out their hair,
awaiting moms' rulings on the next chosen ones?

So, thanks to you mom and thanks again still.
For your love as fleeting as Twitter,
for permantently cancelling my sitter,
and for at least choosing to kill via pill!

You can have your cruel world and its hearltess love making,
where His blessings are now viewed as a bother.
But if you find a spare moment 'tween all the pills that we're taking,
please write to me care of the Father.

Keep in mind that Roman Catholic pro-life groups are also by definition anti-death penalty.

I've attended rallys on the Mall in DC where anti-death penalty protesters were side by side with pro-life protesters.

Personally, I see a big difference between the state allowing the taking of innocent human life--and the state courts doing lawful capitol punishment....but, hey, I'm not Roman Catholic either.

The church allows for the use of capital punishment and also waging war where justified, and also the use of lethal force when it is a justifiable defense. Hopefully, those are rare cases, but there is some discussion of this at this link:
