"Let me just say a mountain community"

When we bought our ranch in the central sierra, it had not been occupied for some time. It was during the 2000 census. The place is 14 miles beyond the last paved road, and 11 miles beyond the last power pole. I noticed something in the mail box, which turned out to be a census questionnaire.

“for ‘reducing resource use’ and ‘positively influencing terminal care costs’ through such ‘consultations’.”

Sounds remarkably like the rationales given for supporting abortion—it’s more economic to kill off the unwanted than to continue spending money on them.

Ironic that the generation which supported or allowed abortion is now facing a government that wants to abort them in their turn, in order to cut costs.

(karma’s a bitch...)

I am not that far out, the power line comes by my house. I have to go 4 miles to the Post Office. I think the rats want us conservatives out of the country, out of the vote and out of the count but to pay the taxes.
