Our conclusion is that the gap between conservative and progressive talk radio is the result of multiple structural problems in the U.S. regulatory system, particularly the complete breakdown of the public trustee concept of broadcast, the elimina¬tion of clear public interest requirements for broadcasting, and the relaxation of ownership rules,”

A statement of either staggering stupidity or unbounded duplicity.

The fact of the matter is people don't like to listen to progressive talk radio. There are stations that feature liberal talk radio. They have no audience. Has this buffoon ever heard of Air America? What a failure! They have NPR which is essentially liberal talk radio. Without subsidies they wouldn't be on the air. Their ratings in every community (even liberal) are incredibly low. What a joke this guy is- but he is no joke! He's a very dangerous person as are most of the members of the Obama Administration.

My conclusion is that the gentleman is an idiot.
The gap in conservative and progressive talk radio is based on one thing - audience. No one listened to the highly touted and initially well funded (ahem Senator Diaper-pants). No audience = no sponsorship = no program.
