The article itself pointed to the inflated costs ( 25 to 30%)that occur because doctors feel they have to order every freakin test in the world to cover their asses. Moreover the ampunt of pro bono work that doctors used to do has gone done substantially for the same reason. Can’t afford to take care of someone for nothing who will turn around and sue you for millinos of bucks.
