What percentage of their gross income as a practice is that? Probably 5% or less.

parsy, who says no true conservative would go anywhere near tort reform the way most mean it.

Since the median salary for GP's in the US is less than $150,000 a year, I doubt your 5% number holds water.

However, that's irrelevant since the new $90,000 cost was passed on to their patients, namely me.

You are such an idiot. You know nothing and throw crap out as if it is truth. The article itself pointed to the inflated costs ( 25 to 30%)that occur because doctors feel they have to order every freakin test in the world to cover their asses. Moreover the ampunt of pro bono work that doctors used to do has gone done substantially for the same reason. Can’t afford to take care of someone for nothing who will turn around and sue you for millinos of bucks.
