She’s doing it the smarter way, by getting her statements out coherently on her own terms. To challenge Obama to an actual, in-the-flesh debate would be taken as impertinent grandstanding.
Just like the people who submit court requests for zero to produce a valid birth cerficate, Palin would be considered as “having no standing”. Now if she was still a governor, perhaps so.
She already has- just by a Facebook posting.

That she spoke the truth is why O felt the need to respond.
I cannot stand ZERO but he is the President and she is a citizen. McCain had a hard enough time getting him to debate and now you want Sarah to make a fool of herself for asking for a debate from the President.
I would have had a fit if ZERO wanted to debate Pres Bush when he was in office — it would have been out of place.
With all due respect to Sarah, Newt Gingrich is infinitely more qualified for that debate.
But ‘let’s be clear,’ Obama isn’t interested in debating anything.
I thought Palin hurt our cause by using the terms “evil” and “death panel” because I thought the democrats would use her comments as ammunition - and they did. Fortunately it’s not working so far.
Having said that, If you check out Palin’s response to Obama’s comments (on her facebook page) regarding “death panels” during his NH town hall, she does a great job of backing up her “death panel” comment with all of the known facts, including some quotes from liberals. Of course the media won’t cover her response.
If you know of people who have been convinced by the media that Palin is a lightweight, I recommend sending this response to them. It serves a double purpose - bolsters Palin’s standing and does a good job of knocking Obamacare.

We don’t want to elevate Obama. His numbers are tanking and he is losing the health care debate. Sarah is doing just what she needs to do - be a rational/logical thorn in his side.
Sarah debating Obama would be like the US “negotiating” with Imamadnutjob in Iran. It only makes the tyrant look more reasonable.
BTW - Sarah would make Obama look like a three year old. The over/under on the number of Obama “Uhs” or “Ums” during the debate would be about 500. He couldn’t explain this disaster if he tried. He would simply continue the lies and all of his zombies would either swoon or get that odd tingle up their legs.
Why elevate Obama to her level?
Dumb tactical move. By using her Facebook page as her medium, she’s already getting her message out and driving both the libs and RINOs crazy.
Challenge maybe one thing that rouses the base but it isn’t the best way for Palin to handle any concerns she has. She can do much more I believe by continuing to use her controlled outlets rather than going to the mass media/gov’t controlled outlets such as a debate would be. Secondly I think she’d loose big time in a debate with the President because of how the format would be set and his ability to skirt direct answers. Palin has a role to play or fill but it isn’t at the present time one on one on the national stage.
BO will never accpt, but that is one more reason to do it.
