Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley, who is working with Finance Committee chairman Sen. Max Baucus on a health care compromise, has just issued a statement saying that concerns about end-of-life issues in the House health care bill are entirely legitimate. In addition, Grassley says the Finance Committee has "dropped end-of-life provisions from consideration entirely" because of those fears and also because of concerns that they could be "implemented incorrectly."

not good enough. take out pages 1 through 1,017. that’s a start.
He’s easing his constituants into his supporting the bill in September. Besides, the Dems will NEVER let this “compromise” stand when it comes to “reconciliation.”
What about the health Gestapo coming into your homes
Grassley figures he has to do something. He is a feaking ignoramus. Anything he does, anything he suggests, will be used by Obama to screw Republicans. As for Baucus, Obama’s catamite should be hammered so hard in Montana that he is afraid to show his face outside of his comfortable haunts inside the beltway.
Exactly why I trust no politician. Grassley is still working on the damn thing.
And, I thought that provision wasn’t even in there to begin with? That’s what the libs keep saying.
1017 pages to go
Chucky forgets that it is in the most of the house versions. What happens if this gets voted in and goes to conference. Do you think the Repubs will be at the table? What a moron!!!
Negotiating over details seeks to pass what is fundamentally unacceptable: gov’t interference in the doctor/patient relationship.
Let’s see the revised bill before you vote on it.
Good advice. I think that even though it might not be in the Senate bill, we should still be outraged that Congress considered it in the House bill. We should not forget that the Senate bill is a compromise from what they wanted to what they thought they could get away with....for the moment.
Whats wrong with this azzwipe? Scrap the damn thing and take the rest out fool.
He’s trying to get a couple of token Republican Senators on board so he can claim bipartisanship and shove it through.
Big whoop. You know it’s coming right back in in conference.
Kick Obama's socialist arse, kick Obama's socialist arse, kick Obama's socialist arse!
Of course this isn't anywhere near good enough. But it's a start and an indication that the twits in DC, especially the dem twits from red states, are listening.
Something like this: “Senator Grassley; where in the Constitution does it give the government power to take over our health care system?”
Chuck hesitated about 2 seconds, and said something like “The government doesn’t have that power”
Great question, and great answer..
“not good enough. take out pages 1 through 1,017. thats a start.”
These guys just don’t get it - this is not about a detail here and there. WE WANT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO STAY THE HELL OUT OF OUR LIVES.
They, who took the oath to defend the constitution, a constitution whose primary goal was to LIMIT the power of the federal government, are instead raping it and in the process are raping our FREEDOMS.
Wow. A RINO speaking out against this provision. That should go a long way towards validating how bad this bill is.
Hey, FRiend, I think you meant to say:
Just trying to help.
