Exactly. The death of JFK made sure his agenda was passed in Congress. Senate expert LBJ made sure of it. If he wasn’t assassinated, the chances it would have passed would have been much smaller.
Right now I'd believe that many on the left are hoping for some kind of magic resolution to finding themselves painted into a corner.
There may be nut cases on both sides, but the core of the dem party apparatus is probably on drugs by this point.

"They" raised the swastika story (and left out the facts that the swastika applied to them and that they'd used the same symbol throughout GWB's tenure).
FOX reported something today about someone outside of the white house with a "d***h to Obama" sign.
Right now there is a televised bomb scare in L.A. starring (a) evacuation of a not so near by federal building; (b) a five-eleven white guy driving a bright red, new, VW faux-Beetle (obviously someone clutching tightly to the status-quo); (d) LAPD request for more Secret Service support; and (e) FOX mentioned both threats against the White house and some undefined plot.
(This all followed a non-televised car chase in Los Angeles - like FOX would let one of those get by without breathless coverage!)
Someone surely wants us to believe that the left is up against heroic odds in their efforts to make it all nice for the sheeple.
PS: On the last note; shouldn't even the most rabid Obama voter eventually start to feel insulted by the dem's no longer veiled references to their constituents as though they were children totally incapable of understanding what is best for them?

The statists are going to want to see O get shot if he continues to lose support and their dreams of all out socialism slip away. Kennedy getting shot brought on the Great Society. O’s assassination would guarantee climate legislation, national health care, global courts, tax increases, etc. etc. His assassination would be the death of America.

My only reason for tolerating the birther movement is that they may be correct, for all I know. This is the same sh!+ Clinton pulled: distract from complaints about policy with personal issues. The birther movement was relevant BEFORE election day. He’s been sworn in, now. So instead of speculating that his background indicates he may have tendencies towards being an anti-American communistic banana-republic dictator, we can look at his actually policies to prove that he is.
The birthers can wake me up when we have a 67-seat majority in the Senate and can impeach and convict him for defrauding us about where he was born. Until then, faggeddabout it; they’re only a distraction and carnival sideshow.

The liberal’s drooling doomsday hysterics over Bush/Cheney could have easily sparked some nut—right, left or whatever—to take his shot at fame by going after President Bush. Obama getting injured/killed would turn him into a media martyr of untold proportions and probably turn this country into Sweden based on a mass wave of sympathy votes. If something does happen to him God forbid, it will be the typical unhinged loon acting on his own perverse agenda. —and those people are just as likely to go snap during relatively calm times.

Gotta love Jack, even when he's a little out there. Someone's got to say the unsayable. In substance, I think his fears have some foundation. Every Friday I wait on the "Glass 1/2 Full Report" with bated breath. This week's should be a real blockbuster.
