Meltdown: Democratic Congressman David Scott of Georgia [video]
YouTube ^ | August 12, '09

As citizens psssionately sought to exercise their First Amemdment rights to "assemble and to petition the Government for redress of grievances" at Town Hall meetings, the MSM tried with equal passion to contemptuously dismiss their collective voice as that of an illegitimate "mob." The video clip clearly shows what typically happened when a congressman attacked a constituent for DARING TO QUESTION the socialistic "ObamaCare" medical proposal. In this instance the constituent was Dr. Brian Hill, M.D., who had a natural concern for the inevitable decline in doctor-patient care, bureaucratic rationing of health care, and enormous tax increases for all citizens. However, what the MSM (including CNN's Rick Sanchez and MSNBC) did NOT tell you is what you ought to know about Rep. Scott.

Rep. David Scott, an Atlanta Democrat, was named in 2007 as one of the 25 most "CORRUPT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS" by a non-partisan watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "CREW" cited, among other charges, his failure to pay taxes when due and the mingling of personal business interests and his campaign finances. Yet, as the MSM projected his image and words everywhere, they deliberately neglected to tell us about Scott while at the same time relentlessly maligning the motives and conduct of citizens who attended Town Hall meetings. As Bernie Goldberg said in his book "Bias," the MSM not only distorts the news in how it reports it, but in what it chooses to IGNORE.

Great slide show of ObamaCare protesters in Chicago

Right in Obama's back yard!!

I'm more proud of the folks in the windy city, than I ever thought possible!

By the way, I didn't see any ABC-CBS-NBC-CNN-MSNBC coverage of this - did you?

Wonder why..?????

Those who have visited Chicago will recognize the downtown area.

Oh, those wacky Democrats. If you impersonate a doctor and ask a health care question at a town hall, you get a hug. If you are a real doctor and ask a question at a town hall, you get yelled at.

Someone also needs to check Mr. Scotts’ fingers for black spray paint residue.

The more obama and his thugacrats push his health care plan the more it looks like death care to me. And I’m beginning to think they see some of us as being worth more dead then alive.

Baby boomers are ready to go on social security by the millions. But our moneys not there! They blew through our social security savings and wouldn’t let President Bush do anything to try to fix the problem. But if you can force us all under gov. controlled health care, let our illness’s kill us off by refusing to pay for our care, then you don’t have to worry about paying us our social security savings do you? So baby boomers become worth more dead then alive!

Why else would they turn against the public like they have? Why else would they push so hard to try to shove this death care down our necks?

Having heard the guy explain himself, I have to give him a break. This meeting was set up by others who had a specific topic in mind— the construction of a highway through their neighborhood. Others came and tried to turn the topic away from the hosts’ issue and towards healthcare. That wasn’t fair to those that set up the meeting and wanted their topic addressed. The rep promised to come to a healthcare meeting if asked. They should have called him on that and then given him an earful. Or even waited until the original meeting was over, then confronted the rep after the hosts issue had been fully addressed.

You are either ignorant or deceitful. Those are pictures from a tea party gathering in Chicago.

And why are you spamming threads with this? People have seen these pictures already when they were posted the first time.

You’re absolutely right. Social Security and Medicare are broke. And health care rationing (who will live or die) will be determined by a remote bureaucracy. Dick Morris has had some terrific articles on that subject. He rightly says that some 47 million added to a government-insured plan will NOT also result in the needed increase of doctors, nurses, hospitals and other health professionals. Result? Some must be “eliminated” by the system.

I watched it. I still say it wasn’t fair to the organizers of the event. If I had set up an event to talk about the highway that was about to run through my yard and a bunch of people came in and took over the meeting on another subject, I’d have a legitimate gripe.

On the other hand, if the congressman had offered to stick around after the scheduled event and talk about the others’ concerns, he’d be worthy of respect.
