The Sunday Morning Talk Show thread is up!
Looks like they’re finally going to discuss the Healthcare bill this morning....
It appears the Colorado simulated town hall was not so good for Obama.
MSNBC has a talking head (bad moustache man) who is saying the pelosi talking point of “we have not heard from ‘real america’ about this issue, only loud voices.”
Tommorrow Obama is at a VFW CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!
Future death counseling clients?
Colorado damage control
HNN only had obama soundbites, no question clips of audience asking questions.
Notice, the difference.
Democrats show Obama goebeling in order to make their point of obama is correct.
when attacking republicans, CNN and HNN showed people yelling and incomplete.
MSNBC and CNBC (as in Haines in the am) cut away or simply cut the audio of people at the townhalls and spew DNC talking points.
Former Sen. Chuck Hagel (Rino) Nebraska??? These sure are the dog-days of August!!!
Chuck Todd on pmsnbc calling “public option” wiggle room.
Translation Obama is conditioning the left to dump public option in order to save his viability.
I think Obama is losing ground fast.
Todd said only a “remaining few” republicans are trying to work on a bipartisan solution. Which republicans are this oblivious? Snow? McCain? Grahnesty?
‘Obama Calls “Kill Grandma” argument “imply dishonest” ‘ is the crawl, obviously Obama Deathcare has hit a nerve. Remember obama’s cronies are big advocates of DUTY to die. (from each accordign to their abilities to each according to their needs and all that...)
Tax Cheats and Dead Man walking to speak in favor of health care reform. Nice.
The question is this. Will The Marxist Democrats be able to get 50 votes for socialized medicine? They will try. Our mission is to srike enough fear in to the Democrat Senators that they can not get 50. I just hope we can hold them until after the November elections in NJ and Va.
Obama + townhalls = does he even know what he is talking about ??
Keep up the townhalls, Mr. Obama !!
Talking out of both sides of your mouth makes us all realize why we don’t need a take over of our healthcare !!
Thank you for the ping. Sure makes it easier to get on the thread.
One small thing not being mentioned is whether or not president zero will veto any bill that does not include the provisions he’s touting to everyone. He’s talking a good game but that does not mean the final bill will include what zero claims it will do. Since he does not know what’s really in any of the health care bills, I do believe he will sign whatever is put in front of him and make excuses for the things that are worst in it.
****
bttt
Duty to die. This is the money quote from Democrat CO ex-governor Richard Lamm.
BTTT
good morning, I seem to be unable to get a post to post.
If this gets through OK, if not whats up?
MSNBC is now spinning to save Obama via “if ANYTHING passes, just one tiny line passes, then it is a HUGE victory for Obama.”
(for those in rio linda, democrats are not saying ONE victory makes a victory streak)
I think this is now Obama telegraphing that public option is off the table and this “save Obama” tour is about his base not independents.
obama is read for a fork, he is done.
State-promoting media (and a lot of beltway ‘conservatives’) have declared Sarah Palin practically a dunce, but one week after she used the phrase “death panels” that part of the proposed Senate bill has been removed.
Who has the clout? Palin or Obama?
Judge Jeanine Pirro is on Fox&Friends.
She is complaining that she has been receiving the Axelrod emails from the White House.
She says she has never sent an email to the WH nor signed up to be on any WH related list.
[Will Gibbs try to spin this again?]
Last year:
Obama: My Grandmother was a typical white person...
Now:
Obama invokes grandmother's death in health debate
I am SO glad you made a ping list! I will be here for a while before I go to mass. (Moving slow today so didn’t get ready in time for the early ones.)
They don't have GW Bush to demagogue about in 2010 to cover how they vote in DC now.
A few bright spots in the lineup but mostly the same ol' same ol' regulars picked by the DBM.
How's that Ana cone working for you?
I see ‘em all!
How's that Ana cone working for you?
I remind those who didn't notice that he barely saw his grandmother during her final months, and for all his talk about his mother worrying about insurance he apparently did NOTHING to help her.
He already had that big book advance and he could have told her "Don't worry about the money, mom. I'll take care of it."
He could have cut short his stay in the South Pacific for book writing in order to come to Hawaii and run interference with the insurance company, since he was a lawyer.
He did nothing, and I don't think he was even there when she died. And we all remember how his grandmother didn't get a real funeral and the memorial service had to be scheduled around his campaign.
So, his use of these two now-dead women is highly offensive to me.
This morning on the C-SPAN talk show, the moderator seemed to take sides and commented that "The death panel notion has been totally debunked." So why did this get removed, if it wasn't there in the first place? And why is the C-SPAN moderator taking sides?
I hear that! Lucky for us we’re so small we only have one mass. At 9:30. Since I wake to post the thread at 7:00 am, I can make that.
You are of course correct about the Joker. He will sign anything put on his table. Knowing that whatever is left out can be put back in during their midnight legislation sessions.
The game remains tanking the economy and Free Market Capitalism replacing it with the worst form of cradle to grave statism/communism available.
Thanks for the ping
CO dem pols told their people to arrive earlier than the publicized time for the town hall. Of course every seat was taken and those with tickets were turned away.
Couldn’t take a chance on too many real Americans turning up.
How that college student managed to get in is amazing.
He has asked the one really tough question of the messiah.
Needless to say, the messiah dragged out UPS. Fed Ex and the pitiful post office again.
They don't have GW Bush to demagogue about in 2010 to cover how they vote in DC now.
What an idiot.
We are a suburban church started in the 50's when there were very few Catholics out in this neck of the woods. As Indianapolis grew and families moved to the suburbs, our church has grown huge. We even split off a parish west of us and we are still growing.
If I had only ONE mass I would probably need to be a lot more organized on Sunday mornings. LOL!
I listened to this event on c-span radio, and found it very heartwarming as a lifetime afficianado of radio entertainment. Inflections in voices can be heard via radio that are lost when watching an appearance on tv.
Specter was grilled for a half hour, followed by Sestak. Both of them tried to assure their audience that they were ‘progressive’ enough to please any Pennsylvania voter. The tone in the questioners’ voices was mainly , “OMG, is this all we’ve got for candidates for Pennsylvania next year.”
It was nauseating yet amusing to listen to Specter squirm and weasel, and to hear a soporific Sestak try to sound like a lib.

Senator Arlen Specter Specter and his Democratic primary rival Congressman Joe Sestak participated in a discussion moderated by Pennsylvania blogger Susie Madrak and Ari Melber of The Nation at the Netroots Nation conference, an annual gathering of progressive bloggers from around the country. The Congressman did not appear together in the program.
Senator Spector discussed his record in the Senate, including his switch earlier in April 2009 from Republican to Democrat. He also responded to questions from audience members. Other topics included climate change and health care legislation, stem cell research, and televising the U.S. Supreme Court.
Among the topics Congressman Sestak addressed were his qualifications for Senator and his support of the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) bill.

Local so called journalist referred to Sarah as extremely odd.
Oh really?
A ping list? I've not been pung.
Thanks Alas for the regular Sunday Morning social hour.
Good morning, and thanks for the ping. If the discussion today will be all about health care, when will the Hillary meltdown be on the agenda?
I laughed so hard reading this I think I pulled a muscle.
TD4 is heading my way. Should be Claudette by then. They hsve it making landfall around 11:00PM tonight and over us by dawn. At least it’s fast enough to not intensify too much.
You’re right on the guests. Can you believe FTN has Hagel on? WTF? He’s not even a sinator anymore, but they drag him out anyway, just to get the LEFTWING Republican talking points on...
Sarah’s tweet has earned her a fresh round of insults.
GO SARAH GO SARAH
MSNBC is now spinning to save Obama via if ANYTHING passes, just one tiny line passes, then it is a HUGE victory for Obama.
That is so funny! These dorks are not only laughable, they're pathetic! Do they really think anyone is going to believe them, except, of course, for their 30 or so KOSKid viewers?
