Christian pupils are now outnumbered by Muslims at Roman Catholic schools in some parts of England

A survey has found 24 Catholic primary schools in the North West and the Midlands teach a minority of churchgoing children.

Fewer than one in 10 children are Catholic at one school in Birmingham, while the Church is ending its involvement with a similar establishment in Blackburn.

Overall, Catholics make up 73.34 per cent of pupils at the 2,300 schools linked to the denomination across England and Wales.

But The Tablet, a weekly Catholic magazine, found that in Oldham, Blackburn, Wolverhampton and Birmingham there has been a sharp decline in the proportion of Catholics being educated in local faith schools.

At English Martyrs in Sparkhill, Birmingham, just 36 of the 410 pupils are Catholic while the vast majority are Muslim

Recently my pastor visited John Wesley’s church in England. He said there were about 30 or 40 people there for Sunday worship.

Maybe they’ll convert when exposed to Roman Catholic teaching.

This matches something that was posted several days ago. The source asserted that people from other religions recognize the value of Christian ethics and worldview. They want their children exposed to it and are willing to take the risk that they will be able to inculcate their own religious values at home.

A South American country has contracted a major Protestant American Christian organization to provide ethics training to its military leaders. They recognize that they cannot continue in the direction they were going and recognize the value of western ethical behavior.

ARTICLE SNIPPET from the link in post no. 1:

"Last year the Catholic Education Service said Catholic schools should provide multi-faith prayer rooms for Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Sikh students.

It also suggested bathrooms should be adapted to accommodate ritual cleansing.

If so few students in the schools are actually Catholic and the Catholic Education Service is recommending all of these various accommodations for students of other faiths, then they might as well go all the way and stop calling the school "Catholic"! I am willing to bet that they no longer teach Catholic religion classes in these schools lest those who are non-Catholic be offended.

Perhaps the Catholic parents who are mentioned in the article as not supporting the schools are not doing so because they feel they have been overrun in every way. It's truly horrible how the British are letting their traditions and culture be destroyed with seemingly no signs of protest from any sector. I never would have imagined something like this happening. Since obviously nothing is sacrosanct, it only remains to be seen what will be next.

Enoch Powell’s foaming Tiber is what is next.

...but from the article:

Oops! I spouted off without carefully reading the whole article. Thank you for pointing out my omission, I stand corrected.

I must confess that prior to your posting I had never heard of Enoch Powell or the speech from which your reference came. I looked it up and read the whole thing. I found it chilling. Most notably because nearly all the things that he saw happening "in fifteen to twenty years" have in fact come to be realized. It's mind boggling that it was written in 1968.

“It’s mind boggling that it was written in 1968.”

His own party disowned him for not being politically correct.

There’s also the book “Camp of the Saints”. Many saw this one coming, but the truth was inconvenient to too many people.

Now, it may be too late.

A lot of people think that if he hadnt said his mind in 1968 he would have been Prime Minister. An extremely clever man Enoch Powell. Very gifted academically.

No one ever wants to hear the truth. That’s the problem.

They never want to hear uncomfortable facts that go against their cosy worldview, that’s for sure.
