If President Obama was born in Hawaii was it while the islands yet remained a territory of the United States?
A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the president be none other than a "natural born" citizen – appeared today when Obama's MySpace page confirmed his age is 52.
That would mean if he was born on the islands that now make up the state of Hawaii it would have been during the archipelago's days as a territory for the United States, the status for the islands from about 1900 until it became a state in 1959.
It also conflicts with campaign and other White House information that have discussed his 48th birthday just a few days into this month.

Which would count as Natural Born Citizenship as far as any reasonable person would think. Do you think John McCain was elgible?

We don’t even check to see the ID of voters. Apparently ID is only important if you want to go to a Townhall and see a Congressperson in person, from 22 rows away.

I am guessing the information was just entered on the web site incorrectly.
But of course if Obama had released his long-form birth certificate the continued speculation would not be necessary.
Let’s not let someone’s purposeful “mistake” on his myspace page veer us off our track to stop the healthcare bill.
First thought in my mind is this is just another ploy to distract us.
The fact is anyone born on US territory is a natural born citizen. Puerto Ricans are natural born citizens, they are a territory. Read the constitution, they are born on territory under the control of the US, Period. However, the birth date does raise a few questions on how could his mother have been Ann D. if he was born 3 years previous to his supposed birth date and what does his non-existent BC show?
That is only required of Republicans.
I think he was born in kenya. I think there were witnesses, 3 of whom have been murdered. I think that it was not planned that he be born in kenya but his mother could not get out of there (where his father/family) lived in time to get to Hawaii to give birth.

I actually posed that question weeks ago.
Maybe he was born August 4th in Hawaii....maybe he can say that without lying.
But was it before statehood? Hmmmmm.....

Well, if he’s 52, then he was born in 1957.
