I like Glenn Beck, and he is a remarkably sharp guy who digs into stories more than about anyone else. However, if I were an advertiser, I'd be a little nervous. Beck is goofy, cries constantly, screamed insanely at a caller, and always seems about one judge short of mental hospital. I think saying Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people" is way over the line. Even Rush disavowed believing that. I think it's reasonable to say Obama is comfortable with people who hate white people, but he has certainly put a lot of white people in positions of power, more than George Bush did.

Rush, in contrast, is amazingly in control of every syllable he utters. As an advertiser, I'd trust him not to go wacko one day and say something that he'd be apologizing for the next.

Going after Obama for being a Carter-style incompetent liberal who wants to tax and spend while devastating our economy is something that resonates with people because they see it. Going after him as a white-hater just isn't going to work. I want the public to understand what socialism is and why it fails so miserably. Normally Glenn Beck is really good at this, but he needs some self-control.

How about that self-control by Jeremiah Wright and the thugs who show up at the town hall meetings and beat up, threaten average American citizens. Glenn has every right to be himself, whether he cry or scream at someone on the phone. It’s his right under the 1st Amendment.

Let’s instead, take issue with these companies who boycott his show and show them some muscle. That door swings both ways.

Let Glenn be Glenn.

Thoughtful response. His really sharp reporting is diminished by the histrionics.

You raise some good points. However, he basically only appoints whites that have extreme white guilt.

That’s just the kind of language that gets him his large audience.

Being political correct is nausiating and enough to make people turn off the program!

If you want to be a pussy don’t watch his show!

Unfortunately if any white person used language such as Barack Obama did as in “typical white person” and said “typical black person” we would not be having this discussion. It was a crude, ignorant and racist statement but since there is a media double standard, Obama gets off scot-free. When Rush Limbaugh said the media was afraid to criticize Donovan Mcnabb the black Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback, he was excoriated as a racist and he left television. It was not a racist statement yet that was the charge, false as it was.

The charge of racism is the new McCarthyism. It is an infuriating charge, almost impossible to defend, and it is used like a bludgeon when the left can no longer effectively debate. They are also immune to the charge themselves - witness the white homosexuals in California using the N-word at rallies to describe the blacks who voted against gay marriage. Where was the outrage in the media - none, just another liberal double standard as if a million weren’t enough. The charge of racism helps the Left immensely as they engage in the politics of personal destruction, which is pretty much all they do.

Obama has done a few things that need to be explained.
His selection of Sotomayor was telling, she had a vicious and indefensible anti-white decision against the New Haven firefighters that was thankfully rejected by the SC - and she never even ‘batted an eye’ (but could not explain it either). Her decision was pure and unapologetically racist. Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder made the decision not to prosecute the armed Black Panthers who were intimidating legal white voter challengers in Philadelphia - any reason not to? Then Obama’s defense of Skip Gates by wrongfully attacking the Cambridge police - without the facts - clearly jumping to racist conclusions and affirming the bogus racial profiling charge! What of Obama’s telling and contemptuous remarks about those “clinging to their guns and religion” and please don’t forget his 20 years in the stoolpit with Reverend Wright who’s hatred of whites was complete and undeniable, Obama listened to the man’s tapes for relaxation at Harvard Law. This all makes a strong case that Obama is what Glenn Beck said he was, if not openly then still in the closet.

In his writings Obama clearly stated racial preferences, which weren’t white.

Beck has a case, and Obama doesn’t have to apologize or even explain his racist statements because he is black. I am tired of the double standards, I am tired of watching the wrong people having to apologize. No more Tawana Brawleys and Skip Gates hoaxes. Call it like it is!

I like Glenn Beck, and he is a remarkably sharp guy who digs into stories more than about anyone else. However, if I were an advertiser, I'd be a little nervous.

Just a little.........And I'd like to sit down and talk to Mr. Beck myself....

Beck is goofy, cries constantly, screamed insanely at a caller, and always seems about one judge short of mental hospital. I think saying Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people" is way over the line. Even Rush disavowed believing that.

I'd disagree with the "constantly" line....but it's pretty close. eh! And I'd agree with some sort of "deep-seated" problem with white people...though not sure it's hatred.

I think it's reasonable to say Obama is comfortable with people who hate white people, but he has certainly put a lot of white people in positions of power, more than George Bush did.

I'd have to see the numbers on that. In fact if you include CZARS...I'd guess you were dead wrong......and crazy-like.

But hey, so let me get this right, G.B. places less whites in place than Obama..and that's more color-blindness!!

Wow!! Now is'nt that State Controlled Media like

Rush, in contrast, is amazingly in control of every syllable he utters. As an advertiser, I'd trust him not to go wacko one day and say something that he'd be apologizing for the next.

Can't disagee....

Going after Obama for being a Carter-style incompetent liberal who wants to tax and spend while devastating our economy is something that resonates with people because they see it. Self control is needed with Beck....agreed. But the white-hating angle can be worked in...because it's THERE! Anyone...who doesn't see that, is blind.

Maybe you?

"..Going after him as a white-hater just isn't going to work..."

I agree that won't work, but going after any supporter of his playing the race card as a race pimp does work. Notice how the charges of racism against the opponents of Obamacare are failing. If Obama plays the race card personally and directly then he can be criticized.

I think saying Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people" is way over the line.

Why? Obama's shown that he does hate white people. He continued to attend that racist church despite Reverend Wright's continuous anti-white rantings. His policies are all about removing money from White people and giving it to so-called "minorities". His first supreme court appointment is a racist bimbo who believes that a "Latino woman" is smarter than a typical white male. He plays the race card when his ghetto-thug professor friend manages to get himself arrested in a breaking-and-entering incident.

Everything about this president is race - it is certainly not "over the line" for Glen Beck to point that out.
