New color scheme at Bristol for the 88!
(nice for under the lights)
Don't want to make you homesick BUT ...
We have clouds today!
Not that they are going to do anything, but we have clouds none the less.
We just had some very weird stuff coming from the sky.
I remembered your appointment....
90 degrees today w/none of that evil fog stuff. I had to run to town this morning and I noticed that several maple trees (leafs)have turned entirely red from the hard frosts we’ve been having.
I used to start trolling the mouth of the Coquille for Salmon the middle of July....my trip for the Columbia on 9-14 is still on.
Long range forecast for Bristol is good, so far. Chance of thundershowers Friday.
In you in a flight path??
ARE you in a flight path. Gee-wiz, happydog.
Uh yeah, several. :)
Thanks for putting up the thread - looks great.
I will be moving the next week or so - it’s like it’s never over
Sea Gulls going south?
It’s OK as long as you’re moving forward...
ST lives just north of Bird Guano Island...
Hawks are heading south right now.
They are really something to see. Hundreds at a time, spiraling up on the thermals.
I’ve seen a huge flock of geese spiraling down like a tornado into a small field. It was like that were hunters on each side of the field just out of shoot’n range.

CORPUS CHRISTI Grab your binoculars, lawn chair, bug spray and sunscreen beginning Saturday to see the annual raptor migration. The best spot is at Hazel Bazemore Park, bird experts say.
Only Veracruz (Mexico) gets more hawks in the fall migration than we do, said Patty Beasley, Web master for Corpus Christi Hawk Watch. We count more than a million raptors, with 29 species of the 32 in North America coming over our watch site the second largest migration in the northern hemisphere.
Wowsers, quite an article. I never knew....
I guess you keep your pet bunnies, chihuahuas and other small animals inside during the migration.
Oh, so THATS what was dropping from the sky!
I was unable to reach the Coast Guard to help y'all out during your flood today but I did find some school buses in New Orleans I could rent but I will need some cash to pay the Boyz in the Hood to escort then out of town.
The cardiologist told me my BP was too high (I knew that) so he is changing one med that should lower the numbers but also eliminate my chronic fatigue which would be a blessing plus another med that may make me tired all day...
Sounds like good news overall.
I take a dog-nap mid-morning every day so I don’t worry about fatigue...I do get up btn 4-4:30am in the morning so I rationalize I can take a nap.
Seems like my entire life I’ve liked early morning whether working (shift work) or fishing or now being a “tweener”. A fresh brewed cup of Starbucks, or two, devotions, the quiet of the morning & new beginnings...peaceful.
It could always be worse.
