Airlifts? That word would imply that Obama Sr. was evacuated out of Kenya to the United States as a humanitarian gesture because of some disaster (e.g., war) occurring in his native land. That's a new facet of the Obama story I've never heard before. I believe that Obama Sr. first came to Hawaii in 1959, a few years before any "airlifts" to which you refer occurred, and that the contention that he came on an airlift was shown to have been yet another myth in the Obama story.
Personal experience is by nature limited to a time and place. It is not applicable, by its nature to all times and all places.

I don't know where you were during the campaign, but the "Kenyan airlifts" were a major bone of contention in the spring of '08 -- so much so that the Washington Post called Obama out for his distortions of the truth:
