DeLay: 'I love' Dems Troubles ('I love their arrogance')
NBC ^ | Wed, Aug 19, 2009 | ANDY BARR

Posted on 08/19/2009 10:59:38 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said Wednesday that he loves watching the White House and Democrats in Congress struggle to control the health care debate.

“I love their arrogance. They just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper and deeper,” DeLay said of Democratic leaders during an interview on conservative host Sean Hannity’s radio show.

“I love what the American people are doing to the Democrats,” he said in reference to the recent raucous town halls. “I’m sitting back and watching, and it’s just amazing.” DeLay insisted that Republicans are winning the health care debate and urged GOP leaders to use momentum on the issue to make a broader appeal on conservative values. “This is a great opportunity. You’re beating the Democrats. Shift gears, and go after them on your principles through the debate,” he said. “Republicans need to fight this on principles.” Asked about the recent announcement that he'll be on the next season of “Dancing with the Stars,” DeLay revealed that he's been assigned to Cheryl Burke, who partnered with former NFL star Emmitt Smith to win the 2006 season. “She’s very patient and very kind,” DeLay said of Burke. The former House majority leader from Texas also said he expects that his dancing role will be much like his role in Congress.

“This is just like my time in the House,” he said. “I’ll count the votes, I’ll whip the votes, and she’ll do the dancing.”

“After what the Democrats have tried to do to me over the last 20 years? Those judges can’t touch me,” he quipped.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if Perry appoints him to KBH’s Senate seat!

I'll vote for this as idea of the week. We don't need DeLay "Dancing with the stars", we need him dancing on the Rats. He was really, really good at that. Hell, the Rats are about half stomped already ;^)

Yes,the libs heads would explode.

While having a collective violent bowel movement.
In all honesty, this would cause me to believe the Republicans have started to attack the Rat bastards for real.

Would that be the same principles that Bush II and the Republican controlled Congress increased the budget deficit and created the BIGGEST entitlement since LBJ? Those guys? Plus, the Executive Officer in the WH who couldn't find his veto pen?

Sorry Delay, we are learning that you guys are just socialism lite. We plan to kick you all out come 2010. Your policies gave Obama,Reid,Pelosi the cojones to push the socialist agenda, which you were part of, even quicker.

You really think we are that stupid, don't you? You really believe that we have forgotten how you opened the barn door? Go away!

It would be the first time Perry ever showed he had a pair. I’d feel better about him, for a change.

No the rats don’t paint themselves into a corner when it comes to ethics. If that were the case, they never even get off the couch to run for office.
