I was browsing zazzle for some anit-obama gear and the thought struck me that everyone who is sending a letter to their congressman to protest the healthcare reform bill should instead send a No Obamacare postcard to present a more visible message to everyone who sees it. If we got thousands of these flowing through the mail it would make quite a statement.
You can get some blank postcards at your local stationary store and just print up a design you like. Hand them out to friends and family.
I’ve heard that all snail mail to the Congress goes into a six-month quarantine someplace in Virginia ever since the Anthrax attacks. Probably a waste of time.
I heard Dick Morris on Hannity’s show about a week ago say that the best way to contact congress was to hand write a letter. He said those get the most attention because they stand out above the millions of emails that flood the capitol.
PICK A COLOR
The best way to attract attention is to have all the ObamaCare opponents send letters in the same color envelopes.
This worked great w/ a pro-life initiative-—the zillions of red envelopes sent a loud and clear message.
pb929, IMO Postcards to Congress is a great idea. It might be best if everyone sent the same card as repetition probably could make a bigger impact.
I propose something short and text based only, to save ink. Most home printers use a lot w graphics. How about:
if we get a general consensus out, ill go with it.
ping me if we come up with one.
