PHOENIX - One day prior to President Barack Obama's visit to the Valley, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has a message for the president: "I don't believe in amnesty. That's what all this is about."
Arpaio says Obama and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano are off the mark when it comes to illegal immigration reform.
"Why doesn't he say, "Let's get rid of all the illegals taking these jobs, so our citizens can have the jobs.' Why are they saying that we should only arrest the employer and not the employees that are here illegally? Now, if I met with the president, I would ask him that question," Arpaio said.
The president says he expects Congress to draft immigration bills this year and he's working on getting the measures passed in 2010. Meanwhile, Arpaio says he'd be happy to share some insight.
"If I was the president, I'd say �sheriff, can you come to the White House? I'd like to talk to you about this whole problem.' You don't think that's ever gonna happen? Or Janet, she knows who I am," Arpaio said.

Despite a rising population and other factors that generally drive up the crime rate, Maricopa County has experienced a dramatic decrease in both crime and illegal immigration. These clear trends are occurring county-wide, and reveal the impact of both effective collaboration among law enforcement agencies and tough and visionary prosecution policies in the County Attorney's Office.
The crime rate per 100,000 people in Maricopa County decreased 8% from 2007 to 2008 and 18% from 2004 to 2008. During this same period, the violent crime rate in Maricopa County dropped 8% and the property crime rate fell 21%. Me too. I lived in Arizona and had the utmost respect for Sheriff Joe. He has a motel sign "OPEN" over the jail, as a "welcome" to Maricopa County criminals. He is a refreshing true to the book law enforcement officer who rubs liberals raw because he has more compassion for the citizen taxpayers he protects, than the scum that politicians have so much "compassion" for.
In these days of drug cartels both sides of the border, violent gangbangers (MS-13) and human trafficking, Sheriff Joe deserves commendation and copying for law enforcement officers nationwide. Like Bush before him, Obama (and his underlings) will side with those who seek to defy immigration law and desecrate American sovereignty.

A young man died because of Mexican drug cartels yesterday.
BAKER CITY, Ore. - A U.S. Forest Service employee is dead after being struck by a falling tree as he helped clean up a marijuana growing operation in eastern Oregon.
Forest Service workers and members of the Baker County Narcotics Team were removing a marijuana garden in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest southwest of Unity when the dead tree toppled and hit the man Thursday morning.
The Oregonian reports that the death is being investigated by federal, state and local authorities.[snip]

Arpaio should arrest any lawyers or Federal agents that try and make him stop or release any illegal aliens and charge them with ‘Soliciting Felonies’.

Was a time when openly supporting an illegal activity would wreck the careers of the politcions involved. Now it’s considered a badge of honor to call for something that’s illegal for the rest of us to be advocated by Congress,, for some.
