I do not want my husband set upon by a dozen thugs and beaten, then blamed because he is white, conservative, Christian and heterosexual. Not do I want one of our side responsible for draconian laws that will limit public protest.
We are being baited. They want someone to go off, so they can really take them apart and then make sure no one is ever again allowed to publicly protest by declaring some sort of official emergency. It is a lot more galling to the thugs to attempt a provocation and have it ignored while they are then arrested. Frankly, I think if we adopted the tactics of the early Civil Rights Movement, the Eastern European Color Revolutions or Ghandi, then we would have the numbers and a visible, theatrical moral high ground.
It would be satisfying to punch the thugs out, but then what? It will be a lot more satisfying to see them visibly fail without our side being drawn into a no-win physical brawl.

While you have been pursuing such nonsense, the other side, while stifling their laughter, has been taking advantage of this very approach. And of course you keep waiting for ‘the media’ to finally portray our side and our ‘higher moral ground’ properly, and you just know that some day that will happen. Please get a clue and a grip. Foolish, feel-good bs simply allows the other side to incrementally get closer to their goals. And you don’t recognize that this has happened over the past 40 years? Wow.

Two recent incidents, ironically both involving Black men, the first in St Louis where this anti-Obama Black man was beaten by white union thugs. See much reporting done on that? I didn't. And the second was even more heinous as it shows how complicit the MSM is in screwing the people protesting the National Socialist plan for health care.
A Black man, carrying an AR15 at an Obama rally. We all heard about it on the news but hardly any mentioned his skin color. MSNBC went so far as to CUT any view of his skin color so all you saw was a guy in a dress shirt carrying a rifle and handgun.
And you think if we were Ghandi like that that would actually get some fair air play? No way!
Most of all, never let any of them hurt another Conservative in anyway. Get the law involved, stay with others (never go alone), always be aware of the surroundings. Have a prepared statement for the News Media. Be respectful to whomever the media person may be and never let the nitwits catch you without a concise articulated statement on the evils of Obummercare.
Worked out well for the Iranian protesters a couple of months ago, didn't it? Oh, I forgot, the Bassiji thugs beat and murdered the protesters, and now you don't hear much about them. I don't want any of my daughters to end up like Neda.
I'm all for staying cool. But the other side should be kept aware that there is a limit to how much violence we will tolerate, and the response when that limit is crossed will not be pretty.
