I never knew I would one day find myself praying for a hurricane to come into the Gulf coast of TX-—but we very badly need rain down here—especially in the heart of the state. Sometimes, if these storms hit just right, we will get plentiful rains from them in this area. I sure wish this would be one of those times.......

YIKES!!!!

Here on the Eastern Shore we just can’t handle anymore water. We haven’t had any rain since Sunday night/Monday morning, but everything is still “damp.” Oh don’t suppose things are much dryer on OBX either.

“Oh don’t suppose things are much dryer on OBX either.”

SE VA and NC around OBX are swamped.

Here on the Carolina/VA line we are 4.5 inches over.

You will probably be fine with a little rain and wind. It all depends on where it comes ashore.

It will be rough surf. Last weekends storm caused high surf all up and down the east coast. Having a house on the Virginia shore has made me very watchful of these things.

Why do you want everyone who is concerned about their lives and property to see that photo?

It's FReeper tradition to post a photo of someone who shares the namesake with the hurricane.

Please find an adult and ask them what they would do in this situation.

I don't know, chuckle at it?

Your own judgment is impaired.

Uh, OK...

You mean you don’t like 10” in a week?

I’ve never seen the grass grow so fast. I mowed 3 times in 9 days.
