Hell, our little podunk station interrupts every show, (Rush included), every time obammy opens his mouth in public. It is maddening!!
Our stoopid station from time to time opts out of Rush to cover something that I CAN GET ON EVERY OTHER FRIGGING STATION. Plus they tape delay it an hour. Plus about once a year the dumbasses apparently are drunk or something, as they will start playing the show from the day before, until I and no doubt many others call them up and tell them, “Hey stoopid, ... “ Keep in mind this is a station in a major metro area — unfrickingbelievable!
I solved all this years ago, as can you. I subscribe to Rush 24/7, so if it isn’t convenient for me to listen to Rush on the radio, I just download the show onto my mp3 player after it’s over, and listen to it in it’s entirety, without commercial interruption. It’s well worth the small annual expense.
I was sure to tell the program director of our station I was doing this, due to their policy of opting out of Rush to cover whatever every other station also has on, and because their engineers get drunk/stoopid once or twice a year.
