When a sitting governor slips his security and disappears and then a statewide manhunt turns into a national manhunt and then after missing for almost a week it is discovered that the governor has left the country for a secret personal escape to Argentina without passing command of state decisions over to someone else, in fact no one knew where he was including his staff that he had told he was hiking, then we are talking about a Grade A, big time nut case.
This was a serious story to SC state government before the public heard about it on that Monday afternoon.
I don’t know. SC always been big on small government. However, I do get your point on that if he was away for an extended period of time, he should had left Lt. Governor in charge.
