THANK YOU! You’re proving my point.
Ziegler is on the record here as calling it a gross injustice and that a chilling message has been sent to our Border Patrol agents with their imprisonment.
Sure, he had questions. A lot of them. So what? This is still a free country and he predicates those questions with the quotes I cite.
Ziegler calls it “a gross injustice” and then proceeds to give credence to all of Sutton’s talking points. There was no injustice if Sutton’s charges are true. Ziegler was simply putting one foot on each side of that fence, and if it were left to him Ramos and Compean would still be in prison. I never heard him do anything to help get them freed.
Moreover I suspect that Ziegler’s doubts had more to do with the fact that his arch nemesis John Kobylt had latched on to the Ramos and Compean issue. His obsession with Kobylt is something to behold:

Now there’s little doubt that Kobylt is an opportunistic ass who deserves scorn. But Zielger comes across as lacking maturity and consumed by personal affronts. Maybe if he had demonstrated some concern along those lines he would have some credibility- but it was John Ziegler who decided to discuss the sex life of one of his girlfriends over the air. What kind of a man does that?
