Jenkins innocent of model wife's murder: father (Reward for the "real killers")

The father of a Calgary man suspected of killing his ex-wife in California said his son is innocent and he plans to offer a reward for the capture of her killer.

In a written statement provided to the Calgary Herald on Friday, prominent Calgary architect Dan Jenkins said his son Ryan did not kill Jasmine Fiore, 28, whose mutilated body was found in a Los Angeles suburb on Aug. 15."I understand that the police department is making progress in the case and once I am in better shape I intend to offer a reward for the capture of her killer," Dan Jenkins wrote.Indeed, authorities in the U.S. are continuing their investigation of Ms. Fiore's murder -- but said Friday they remain convinced the guilty party is Mr. Jenkins, the real estate developer and sometime reality TV actor who was found dead in a Hope, B.C., motel as police on both sides of the border hunted for him.The 28-year-old model's mutilated body was found stuffed into a suitcase and dumped in a trash bin weeks earlier in Buena Park, Calif., about 30 kilometres outside of Los Angeles."We feel comfortable that all evidence points to Jenkins," said Susan Kang Schroeder, a spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney's office.Investigators in California remain focused on finding out whether anyone helped Mr. Jenkins following the killing, Schroeder added. In British Columbia, however, the RCMP announced Friday that they now believe Mr. Jenkins crossed into Canada alone sometime between Aug. 19 and 20.

Living in denial, just like his wife, who's singing the same tune.

FYI - the cops aren't charging the half-sister with aiding & abetting, because she drove Ryan to Hope on Aug. 27th, and the Canadian warrant wasn't issued until Aug. 28th. A technicality, IOW.
