Some thoughts:
“Holy God We Praise Thy Name” is an unusual entrance song. It is usually sung at the end of benediction.
I was surprised the Responsorial Psalm was not sung.
The second reading from Romans 8 is one of my favorite Gospel verses. It was agonizing to hear how badly it was read.
The Gospel reading was food for thought. Is Teddy wheat or chaff? Only God will decide.
It is fitting that the Basilica is next door to the largest housing project and what used to be the largest welfare office in Boston.
