Strangely enough, I watch Whale Wars. Those libs are SOOOOO STUPID. It's a wonder they even survive. They do all kinds of STUPID DANGEROUS stunts better left to stunt men or at least Conservatives. They aren't being brave they just have no clue how risky the stuff they do is. But that is the liberal mind. While the Sea Shepherds would not welcome me on the Steve Irwin, I like the show and support what they are doing. There is no reason to allow Japan to circumvent the laws claiming to be doing “research”? What BS. Eskimos, okay, but the Japanese eat it only as a delicacy. Let the whales live, we've killed enough whales.

There ought to be a reality show about Somalian pirates too. I guess the world just isn’t post-racial enough to celebrate black pirates.

See, that's just it - stupid or dangerous or not, they feel valiant for merely trying to save another species, one species to another on this planet we share, and if they die in the process, well, all the more noble. Someone once told me, now we know how they feel (the whales)... Yeah...

What gets me is the fact that the Shepherds took the Steve Irwin into the regions with all that ice, knowing full well their hull was not rated for it. Yet, the Shepherds also have the ship the RV Farley Mowat, which IS rated for ice-breaking situations, yet they use the ship with the weaker hull...

Oh, and watching the “activists” deal with the harsh realities of life at sea on Whale Wars is a real hoot. And I can’t believe how malnourished the first mate is. No meat in your diet will do that to you. It’s a wonder these vegans have enough strength to complete their various duties on the ship.

I watch that show sometimes, as a sailor for 24 years in the Navy it’s like watching a slow motion train wreck. I’m always amazed they haven’t killed anyone yet. Absolute idiots.
