Aw, that's nice. I noticed dubie’s comment and agree. It's a shame he couldn't pencil the National Day of Prayer in — cause afterall, we don't just pray for the religious right Christians, we pray for EVERYBODY in this country and those who run it. Shame he couldn't manage to join us. I'm feeling the snub more and more recently.

The dinner is an annual event, hosted by the current seated president. Former president George Bush hosted the traditional Ramadan dinner in 2007 Really? News to me that this ever went on. Why should any president celebrate any religious event with which they are not personally affiliated? People are touchy about religion; best to celebrate your own, and not comment on others.
