Well look at what they’re trying to do with the empty senate seat. Kennedy made sure Romney, who brought Kennedy’s state the socialized medicine he’s yearned for lo these many years, would not be able to appoint a replacement for Kerry had he won the race against Bush. Now they seek to undo that so Deval Patrick can appoint someone now.
Given all that, I see nothing quelling their enthusiasm for allowing Kennedy to vote on any senate bill until he’s replaced. They’ll just say they have the ability to interpolate what his vote would have been were he still alive through his other votes and work.
With a little help from John Edwards “channeling” Teddy for them, Teddy can still vote in the senate.

Morally bankrupt.
And no Harry, politically it does nothing for you.
To: kcvl
Too bad Teddy didn’t take Harry with him.
That would have REALL helped all of us.

Yeah I know but I think Harry goes passed loathsome. People just don’t like him. I suspect he’s gonna lose.

Yeah, there is now less carbon dioxide so someone can turn in their carbon credits and make a killing.

I’d say it was a “Wellstone Moment,” but comments like this are more like millstone moments. Either way, the outcome is the same.

You are correct. This statement by Reid says
- they got rid of this old geezer who was sick, couldn’t do the job and wouldn’t get of the way and die like he should
- they would use his death as an emotional rescue of the health care bill
It’s at least a two-fer. May be more there.
