Well, just one sample from today: a diary on Daily Kos claiming that Republicans want the president to be killed.

Some of the comments are really out there, like:

Not just the President they want killed. It's you. It's me. It's every liberal, progressive and Democrat out there. And it's not just of a handful of "loons" on the fringe. It's the entire Republican party. Because every time they remain silent, every time they fail to speak out against these "loons" in their own party, the ones they actively reach out to for votes, they are remaining complacent and thus silently condoning their actions. Now personally, I am not afraid of these people. I am not trying to scare anyone. But let's face facts. With the language they use, as well as their actions, they would rather we not be around any more. It's that complacency that's dangerous, not necessarily the actual violent acts, but the threats of violence.
