The OECD is combatting Tax Havens according to this report and a meeting of cooperating countries in Mexico City.

If the link doesn't get to this video, you need to search for "OECD Taking on Tax Havens".

At the 2:45 mark in this video, the reporter (Scott Cohn) shows his typical CNBC/MSNBC bias with a statement that I can only paraphrase:

"The OECD's actions are not going down well with anti-tax, right-wing groups like the Cato Institute..."

Since I've had two kids work at Cato, I can assure you that it is a libertarian think-tank. And to characterize it as "right-wing" is something I didn't think I'd hear form a business news show. I wonder when CNBC will call the Progressive Policy Institute a "statist, socialist, left-wing pro-tax" group...

All racists, bigots, the sincerely religious, anyone who votes against Obama, any one who opposes taxes, infringements on Constitutional liberties, believes in the 2nd Amendment, practices the 2nd Amendment, believes in state's rights, etc. are all right-wing to the media.

That said, this is bad news. We need a president and congress that protect liberty - this article along with the response to Iran and Honduras don't bode well for our new foreign policy.

If alienating our foreign allies means standing for liberty, let's alienate them by all means.
