Gonzales continues to show his incompetence even after he leaves office. He should have kept his mouth shut rather open it (in the first statement) and show everyone his incompetence and have to finally get it right with this second statement.
Gonzales was typical of the Bush appointees. They were so eager to make nice with the Dems that they would agree to just about anything...and it’s obviously a habit that dies hard. Keeping their mouths shut also seems to be an impossibility for them.
I should have specified, btw, that I meant the second round of Bush appointees. He initially had some pretty good ones, but in an attempt to ingratiate himself with the Dems, he stopped supporting them and finally we wound up with the likes of Gonzales.
