"No, its just AZ turning purple, the color of an old bruise. Liberal flight is to thank."

Whoops! I miss-read DesertConservative's comment as: "going from blue-to-red". Another senior moment....Lord knows I end up with enough bruises in the gym.

"Prevailing winds here are out of the west. They blow the scum in from Kalifornica. I fled there in the late 80s and now everything I left to get away from is coming here. "

"I see" said the blind man.....{:-)

Of course one could almost assume that, with Juan McPaine manning the Conservative gates, the winds would be deflected.../sarc

I think McPain is serving his last term in the US Senate. He has my great respect for what he endured in Viet Nam and his overcoming it. Not so much as a politician.

I didn't mean my post to seem as though I was correcting. I just used the two comments together to segue into mine.

Hi Super,

I wish it was going from blue to red. Sadly, its the other way around.

Like the other poster, I left New York for many quality of life reasons (some of them political), and I can see the writing on the wall. Liberals are departing their failing states and voting their old habits into law here.

If there was a last frontier to depart to, I’d be there. I loathe what I see going on. I fax, e-mail, call, attend events when I can. I teach my son biblical and conservative values, and critical thinking. I watch my schools, voice my opinions when necessary to the proper authorities. I pretty much try to do what I can to stem the tide, as I think many are doing.

For those who long for freedom and release from government despotism, where is there to go? Our backs are against the wall. And perhaps that is the left’s mistake. Sun Tzu mentioned always allowing your opponent to believe they had hope to escape. Once they lost hope, they would dig in for a hard, bloody fight.
