This captain, like Major Cook, have a question that begs tehm to violate their conscience-and you have a problem with that?
While I do not know this offcier’s history, she , like Cook, probably have served in harm’s way already, but now, under the question of lawful command authority (CIC) they must ask teh question.
Mindless they are not, patriotic, they are.
You swore an oath to the defend the constitution the same as they have.
Why do you think they are “war resisters”? Are they not in uniform, have they not (at least Cook -on the record) have indicated they have no problem prosecuting the defense of this country (and have), but they want to know for certain that they are doing so lawfully under this administration.
Thanks for your service.
So did this guy. And this guy.

That's not what they're doing. They're suing to avoid going to Afghanistan or Iraq because they lost an election.

They're no different than the war resistors that said Iraq and Afghanistan were illegal because they weren't authorized by the UN.
If their conscience prevents them from following orders then I suggest they resign their commissions. Problem solved.
Maybe not in this case. A Captain in the Medical Corps is a brand new officer. I think they serve about 2 years before making Major.
A high school classmate of mine was an Air Force Dentist, he retired about decade ago, after just 20 years, including the time he spent in dental school, as a full bird Colonel.
