I doubt that -- unless he comes up with a VERY different reform plan, and that is unlikely. He is unpopular because he might get his awful plan, not because he can't get it passed.
He is unpopular because he is being exposed daily via the people and programs he has and is trying to install. The very intrusive big govt role he wants and his attitude, plus race bating, have eroded areas of support.
Agree.
He is unpopular because he might get his awful plan, not because he can’t get it passed. “
Neither side wants to compromise on a public option. He’s damned by the right if he does and damned by the left if he doesn’t. Since he’s never going to be popular on the right...the only way any of his clout and popularity can be restored among the left, is if he can get a public option passed.
That’s true.
But the very first thing he has to do to earn my trust, or at least to start to earn my trust, is to publish his long-form birth certificate and other background records to “PROVE” he has met the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.
After that, he must do what he said he would do when it comes to his Health Care proposal: Allow for public participation and discourse, be transparent, and gain the support of the people before giving it to Congress for their bipartisan approval.

Obama’s popularity will fall even more IF he gets a bill that he wants or even can sign. Let’s face it with a 60+ trilion unfunded liability, Medicare will get cut regardless. Any health care legislation that passes will be linked to reduced access to care for seniors. Just think, every time a senior goes (or tries to go) to the doctor and care is delayed or denied, the doctor and senior will blame Obama and the Dems. Why do you think that he has to get this stuff passed right away so that it can take effect in 2013.
