What’s the big deal?

The big deal is the parents are not submitting to 'the king' - and they want to indoctrinate the children. They expected some backlash but they will keep at it - it's a sign it's about something greater than a 'speech', it's not anything to help children - it's about indoctrination. Remember he took away the lesson on how to 'help' Obama but that will return. I do hope the parents fight hard and are not intimidated w/'what's the harm'. If other kids see it and talk about it, the others kids are going to think they missed something. Causing division in the classroom - that's his mantra - divide and conquer.

I believe President Reagan gave a speech in 1988 which was nationally televised to students. The difference is Reagan wasnt trying to indoctrinate the students.

Let ME give YOU a "lesson in paranoia" Timmy.

Your 'RAT comrades have a huge majority in the House and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Yet, they are still too chicken**** to go it alone and pass their CommieCare, healthcare rationing bill without a couple token "republicans" being on board. They know that if they do, they're going to get their goatsmellin' asses kicked in upcoming elections for as far as the eye can see. I'll tell you Timmy, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL PARANOIA.

LAT's Rutten Seeks to Connect Okla. City Bombing, Domestic Terrorism to U.S. Military

Press Here

Los Angeles Times' Tim Rutten wants the Department of Homeland Security to revisit its report from earlier this year that connects potential terrorism to "right-wing extremism." And Rutten seems especially concerned about those serving in the military.

It’s simple. Obama gives us no confidence that he can address children without trying to recruit them to a particular cause.

It's a good thing there are so many parents nationwide who want no part of this for their children, or he'd likely be sending busloads of thugs to their doorsteps to make them see it his way (his tactics are well known by now).

Wanna get REALLY creeped out?

Here is The Usurper’s poem, written at age 19, most probably with Davis as the subject (surrogate father.)

The contents of this “poem” should be a disqualifier for any contact with impressionable youth.

Pop

Sitting in his seat, a seat broad and broken
In, sprinkled with ashes,
Pop switches channels, takes another
Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks
What to do with me, a green young man
Who fails to consider the
Flim and flam of the world, since
Things have been easy for me;
I stare hard at his face, a stare
That deflects off his brow;
I’m sure he’s unaware of his
Dark, watery eyes, that
Glance in different directions,
And his slow, unwelcome twitches,
Fail to pass.
I listen, nod,
Listen, open, till I cling to his pale,
Beige T-shirt, yelling,
Yelling in his ears, that hang
With heavy lobes, but he’s still telling
His joke, so I ask why
He’s so unhappy, to which he replies . . .
But I don’t care anymore, cause
He took too damn long, and from
Under my seat, I pull out the
Mirror I’ve been saving; I’m laughing,
Laughing loud, the blood rushing from his face
To mine, as he grows small,
A spot in my brain, something
That may be squeezed out, like a
Watermelon seed between
Two fingers.
Pop takes another shot, neat,
Points out the same amber
Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine and
Makes me smell his smell, coming
From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem
He wrote before his mother died,
Stands, shouts, and asks
For a hug, as I shink, my
Arms barely reaching around
His thick, oily neck, and his broad back; ’cause
I see my face, framed within
Pop’s black-framed glasses
And know he’s laughing too.

importance of getting a good education

BO's not interested in their education. He already taxed them for rest of their lives. He could give a $^8t!

and being a good citizen....

What would BO know about being a good citizen? How could you be so clueless and still breathe?

"Brainwashing is a system of befogging the brain so a person can be seduced into acceptance of what otherwise would be abhorrent to him. He loses touch with reality. Facts and fancy whirl round and change places.... However, in order to prevent people from recognizing the inherent evils in brainwashing, the Reds pretend that it is only another name for something already very familiar and of unquestioned respect, such as education or reform."Edward Hunter, Brainwashing (New York: Pyramid Books, 1956), pages 185-186)

And did the US department of Education send out a lesson plan to use following the speech by Bush? The answer is no.

Wake up.

The lesson plan that accompanies the speech asks students to set goals for how they can support the President.

That’s naked politicking.

Support the president - ain’t that rich. He has these kids already in debt and now ‘how can you help ME’? He seems to forget, he’s OUR servant, our children aren’t his.

As Robert Heinlein said: “Writing poetry is nothing to be ashamed of. Just do it in private and be sure to wash your hands afterwards.”

An older woman I worked with in the ‘70s, a real estate broker, was an immigrant from Austria who had come to the US as a teenager. At her grammar school in Austria the students were visited by a kindly leader who gave all the children a copy of his book and signed each one for them. She still had her autographed copy of Mein Kampf.

After what those kids have gone through for the past year? Their skins are tougher than Elephant hide. Nothing from the left would phase them now.
