That was pointed out too. Asian patience is well known; the long term plan continues. They have 5000 years of history, they know how to wait.
The people who understood this also understood Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese Communism. All they had to do was get the Americans agitated as they knew we were impatient; they view impatience as a weakness to be exploited. Their neighbors to the North come from a similar ethic.
The JBS people were reviled in the 60's for being "kooks", "extremists", blah blah. On everything from the Rosenbergs to MLK to the UN they were dead on. Sucks to be right and not be able to convince people.
So we just have to endure what was predicted and try...just try to learn from the mistakes.
