If this is such an urgently needed program, why wait for years to put it into effect? And if the public is going to benefit from this, why not let them experience those benefits before the next Presidential election? Heh heh heh. Gotcha Barry!

To: jazusamo
Exactly.
Obama tried to rush Congress into passing a massive government takeover of the nation’s medical care before the August recess— for a program that would not take effect until 2013!
Whatever Obama is, he is not stupid. If the urgency to pass the medical care legislation was to deal with a problem immediately, then why postpone the date when the legislation goes into effect for years— more specifically, until the year after the next Presidential election?

I cannot listen to a single syllable from the silvery lips of Obama.
He is such a 100% deceitful lying Marxist, that he is intolerable and deeply offensive.

As is his normal, Thomas Sowell has distilled the essence of the issue with just a few words and analysis that is crystal clear and dead on target.
I wish this man was my President!!!

Thanks jaz for the ping. Another right on the mark article by Dr. Sowell.
I know many journalists, bloggers, editorialists etc. read Dr. Sowell as faithfully as we do as I see Dr. Sowell referenced often in other writers articles, so I’m certain these words will be spread far and wide.

“Listening to a Liar”
For me the whole government has come down to these two things:
1. I don’t believe them!
2. I don’t trust them!
As a result I want to give them as little of my money as possible and want to prevent them from enacting any new laws until some semblance of confidence is restored.

[Obama] wanted to get this massive government takeover of medical care passed into law before the public understood what was in it. Moreover, he wanted to get re-elected in 2012 before the public experienced what its actual consequences would be. Sowell knows his customer.

My car broke down--let me in to use your phone. No, really, trust me, would I lie to you.
It's an emergency--hurry up.
Is it because I'm African American?
Open your door, racist.
Open your door--or the IRS will confiscate it.
And your organs.
No, I don't care if you're still alive.

Exactly! It’s a sad state of affairs when we can’t trust our elected officials and that’s what it’s come to.

There are lots of people in the Obama administration who want to do things that have not been done before -- and to do them before the public realizes what is happening.Lots of people in media who want the same things and they're doing their best to keep the public blithely unaware.
I thank God every night for voices like Thomas Sowell. May God bless him always.

“The only reasonable alternative seems to be that he wanted to get this massive government takeover of medical care passed into law before the public understood what was in it.
Moreover, he wanted to get re-elected in 2012 before the public experienced what its actual consequences would be.”
Yup.
