President Barack Obama cannot possibly intend to resemble an aspiring dictator. Somehow, he keeps doing so.
Now he's going ahead with plans to address America's schoolchildren, having dropped the part about encouraging those children to then "write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president."
This administration's run is rapidly transforming into an episode of "The Twilight Zone." How could Obama be so foolish?
He and his advisers must be oblivious to the connections between the American far left and fascism. They must be immune to the revulsion that so many ordinary citizens feel when they see government acting as it has this past year.
The irony is that Obama could achieve his objectives if he worries a little more about the genuine fears of his opponents. If you want to be successful in a democracy, don't dismiss your opponents as kooks; study them.

He intends to BE a dictator.
Personally, I don’t care that he dismisses us. He won’t be doing that in 2012.
You under-estimate this man's narscisism. This is the man that saw nothing wrong with asking citizens to spy on other citizens, and turn anyone who said 'the wrong thing' into flag@whitehouse.gov.
This is the same man who oversaw the email addresses he gathered from flag@whitehouse.gov being sold to 3rd partys for propaganda. This is the man who saw nothing wrong with manipulating the NEA into making artwork to support his agenda, or using teachers to coerce students into supporting his doctines. This is the same man, who hand-picked terrorists as his role models, and has appointed 30+ Czars (on the taxpayer's backs) to positions that answer only to him, at an undisclosed salary level, without being vetted or challenged by any other party. This is the man who is now attempting to dissolve the US Constitution, and is actively funnelling tax dollars to fund Socialist projects (ACORN, Storm, SEIU and others).
Why would demanding to brain wash our children be a surprise? There is no level that this man will not go; he need never stoop, as that implies that there is a standard of behavior he will not abide.
Right, WE will be DISMISSING HIM!

Jonah Goldberg is right, Woodrow Wilson was the first fascist in this country. He signed the bill creating the Federal Reserve, he had his cronies illegally and unconstitutional declare the 16th and 17th Amendments ratified, he had the 18th Amendment ratified, all to help centralize power to the federal government. FDR and LBJ took us further down the road to socialism and now the zero wants us to roll over and accept a socialist government as a fact of life.
Call me a pessimist, but I look for him to get re-elected thanks to ACORN, the same way he got elected this past time. There’s no way, I don’t care how bad a candidate McCain was, that I’ll ever believe that 0 carried Virginia and North Carolina.
