About 5,000 rally against high taxes, big government as tea party express stops in New Lenox

NEW LENOX, Illinois -- Not long after 10 a.m. Monday, the Tea Party Express inched its way toward the enormous crowd.
There literally were thousands of people jammed inside the open-air pavilion in front of New Lenox Village Hall. Because so many were waving protest signs and chanting their opposition to powerful Democrats, they didn't see the approach of the big bus. But dozens of others did. They split off from the bigger group, surrounding the vehicle.

The bus driver blew the horn. Cameras flashed. The crowd roared.
"It's like going to a rock concert," marveled Ann Bode, 49, of Gibson City. She had been busy with visiting relatives Sunday and missed the bus' stop in Bloomington, a city much closer to her home. But she was bound and determined to come to one of the rallies on the Tea Party Express' two-week tour, so she drove to New Lenox early Monday morning -- after all, she could squeeze in some time with nephew Greg Telfer, 48, who lives in the village

Sounds like this reporter is typically underestimating the crowd. The word is that over 10,000 attended the rally.

Walter Williams, on friday, stated that the last war for states’ independence didn’t work out so well, but the first one, in 1776, did.
He’s looking for a tie breaker.
Underestimation of the protesters will be how the MSM handles the Tea Parties. They will do close-in shots to prevent you from seeing the size of the crowd and focus on the most threatening or partisan participants. What we need is for FOX to provide the widest coverage possible.
I believe Glenn Beck will be reporting live on Saturday, Sept 12 from the Tea Party in DC. That should give America a clear view of the size and scope of our discontent. God Bless America
I’ve read multiple accounts the crowd size was 10,000.
Last April 15th, they did the same thing to the Tea Party rallies across the country. In FW Texas, they tried to say that it was 700-1000 people(if I remember correctly..it was an obvious lowball estimate....I was there..the place was packed) and because it was a stadium, the seating capacity was easily researched. When I got home and saw them reporting that bogus info, I went and looked up the seating capacity for the stadium. There were over 5000 people in attendance.
