Tea Partiers Call Movement Better Organized Than GOP Using a dozen social networking sites to mobilize constituents opposed to big-government spending, the grassroots movement has taken on issues far beyond taxes to protest President Obama's sweeping agenda. And by all appearances, its efforts have not gone unnoticed.

They claim to be a grassroots movement, but critics call them astro-turf. In either case, the Tea Party movement is quickly shaking off its "greenness" to become a force that some coalition members contend is more effective than the Republican Party.
"This movement has done more to give conservatives a voice than the GOP has in the past eight years," said Dana Loesch, a conservative radio talk show host and member of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition. "Republicans have been following the Tea Party's lead since February."
"I think it's fair to say this is not a Republican-sponsored movement," said Brendan Steinhauser,an organizer who described supporters as "conservatives, independents, and libertarians" concerned over the "size and scope of the government."

I would prefer a coup in the Republican party, but I will take a parallel path if needed.
The GOP is organized?
A common set of principles goes a long way in getting a group organized.
Something the Republican party long ago forgot (hint to RINOs: they aren’t found under the big tent.)
Their patrons on K Street will demand nothing less.
Dysfunctional..........
The best thing that can happen to R incumbant’s is to have good fresh blood conservatives running against them next year. Hopefully many will get bounced and many will learn to listen.
You know, it’s times like these where I sort of admire the Parliamentary system, where we could have a Conservative Party, a Libertarian Party, and then the Republicans and the Socialists would be their own party.
Not all those who are enthusiastic Tea Party supporters and organizers are Republicans.
Plenty are disgruntled Democrats, PUMAs, who believe their party has been hi-jacked by Socialists/Marxists/Islamists. They are furious that our Constitution has been marginalized and trampled.
And they want nothing to do with a Republican Party they perceive to be every bit as corrupt as the Democratic Party.
DUH
Well, their clubhouse bar is anyway.
For sure, we have more guts.
In next year, expect GOP candidates to attend Tea Parties in an effort to make the TPs their own.
The DC GOP is THE PROBLEM.
AMEN
These criminally incompetent nincompoops are the reason a COMMUNIST IS POTUS and the Congress is overrun with MARXISTS.
They need to be held accountable.
Never fear, the listener is here.
They are better oraganized and far more conservative.
People tell me at the office that Republicans can’t win. My answer is, darned straight, and I’m not voting for them, either. But I’m still predicting ‘Rat losses in the midterm elections in 2010, and they can’t figure out what I’m talking about.
