As an employer I was not moved by The President’s speech. I have seen my business grind to a halt as this economy is on life support and creating more ways to tax my business will put more folks on welfare in the fourth quarter.

Good jobs are leaving America as the democrats want to tax business to death. Add on Cap and trade and other issues and America is done as a capitalist nation.

I don’t need to provide jobs for almost 300 employees when I have enough for my immediate family for a couple of generations. But my family has run this Business for over 85 years employing hard working Americans.

Does my congressman or my President really care about the 300 employees?

I care for them as that is why I keep my family business open. I know the names of the husbands,wifes, kids and grandkids.

Mr. President should I stay in business or do you tax my business out of business?

I work for a company about the size of yours. Privately owned. Smaller by far these days than it was five years ago. The owner is walking in your shoes, to be sure, and we can tell he’s stressed.

Let’s see what the next year brings. We may be in for an upturn. Meanwhile, thanks for keeping your employees in mind. May your business prosper despite the b*stards who would drain human industry of it’s potential.

My company laid off half of it engineers today. I was not in the half that received the bad news but had many friends that were. Nobody is doing any expansions or new plants except building some roads so there will be many more on the street in the near future. I have worked in the engineering field my entire career and have never seen the depth of this recession. And the Democrats are wanting to tax and regulate more. What frakkin plant are they living on?

Good posting!!! I hope for your sake and the sake of your 300 employees & their families, that the sooner we can somehow throw this socialist-fascist-commie usurper out of office, the better. Hopefully your business can survive until we get rid of the Kenyan usurper. As I said in a different post, I would settle for buffoon, inept, bloveiating Joe Biden in a heartbeat over 0bozo. At least Joe would provide daily comedy as no one takes him seriously anyway.
