NEW YORK (Reuters) - A museum dedicated to the September 11 attacks will play "martyrdom" videos made by the hijackers but testimonials by the public would be screened to prevent sympathizers from praising the perpetrators, museum officials said.
Previous attempts to put into context the motivation of the September 11 hijackers have been met with emotional public opposition, with politicians canceling plans for an "International Freedom Center" in 2005.
But the president of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum said videos made by some of the 19 hijackers in preparation for their suicide missions make up part of the "witness testimony" and available for playback at the display.
The memorial and museum are planned for the World Trade Center site undergoing reconstruction in lower Manhattan.
...Museum president Joe Daniels said the exhibit would present the facts, focusing on "what happened on that day, why it happened, what does it mean to live in a 9/11 world."
...As an example of what will be included, Daniels said the 1979 invasion of the Soviet Union by Afghanistan was vital in understanding "the roots of Al Qaeda."

Im sure the al Qaeda psychopaths swould approve of the world getting to hear their side of why American and other children women and men deserved to die at their hands.

Let us be sure to include that the mortal fear of one of these losers was that a (gasp!) woman might touch his disembodied penis while cleaning up after his crashing into the Trade Center.
This is the type of “man” these zealots produce. One whose greatest fear is that an ‘unclean’ woman might touch his naughty bits after he was dead.
9/11 above all convinced me that Islam is a fraud, a cult founded by a thug who promised other thugs salvation if they would help him kill innocents.

Gotta disagree. Islam has been attacking non-Muslims since Big Mo began his pattern of desert raids.
We were attacked because they could, because Islam demands it, and because they rightly decided we were not going to nuke them in return.
What do they mean by this, "segregated?" As though the horror is unrelated to the "martyrdom?" I don't trust this museum; something is not right.
What happened will tell you why.

I would see a problem if this wasn’t included. This is going to be a museum and it should include all relevant history for future generations.
Are people offended if they go to a WWII/Holocaust museum and see a video of Hitler spewing his hate? No, because it helps the viewer see why he did what he did and what a sick mind he had. And now, when we see someone spewing that kind of speech, we know what that can lead too and be able to watch out for it.
Hopefully, years from now, a little kid is going to walk in that museum only knowing what Sept. 11 was from their history books. And they’ll have video evidence to see what that sick ideology was and what it can lead to.
