A government that is constitutionally required to offer each citizen a "useful" job in the farms or industries of the nation.
A country whose leadership intercedes to ensure every farmer can sell his product for a good return.
A nation that has the power to act against "unfair competition" and monopolies in business.
This is not a description of Cuba, communist China or the old USSR. It's the vision of the future of the U.S, as mandated by a radical new "bill of rights" drawn up and pushed by President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein. Until now, Sunstein's proposal has received little scrutiny.
In 2004, Sunstein penned a book, "The Second Bill of Rights: FDR'S Unfinished Revolution and Why We Need It More than Ever," in which he advanced the radical notion that welfare rights, including some controversial inceptions, be granted by the state. His inspiration for a new bill of rights came from President Roosevelt's 1944 proposal of a different, new set of bill of rights.
WND has learned that in April 2005, Sunstein opened up a conference at Yale Law School
entitled "The Constitution in 2020," which sought to change the nature and interpretation of the Constitution by that year.

Sunstein has been a main participant in the movement, which openly seeks to create a "progressive" consensus as to what the U.S. Constitution should provide for by the year 2020. It also suggests strategy for how liberal lawyers and judges might bring such a constitutional regime into being.

No thanks -- I'll stick with the Original. Ain't nothin' like the real thing.
Liberty | "Soft" Tyranny | |
1 | Rights are inherent in, and unalienable from, individuals | Rights are granted/rescinded by the majority through the government |
2 | Fundamental rights are life, liberty, and property (absence of coercion) | Fundamental rights are food, housing, and healthcare (absence of necessity) |
3 | Property is owned by individuals who make decisions as to its use, improvement, and transfer | Property is owned by 'the public' with government officials making decisions as to its use, improvement, and transfer |
4 | Government exists to protect the rights of individuals | Government exists to plan and direct the resources of society |
5 | Government authority is decentralized in a federal system with limited and enumerated powers | Government authority is centralized in a national system with broad and necessarily intrusive powers |
6 | Government action is prescribed by rules fixed and announced beforehand | Government action is arbitrary and at the descretion of "czars" and planning boards |
7 | Economic activity is driven by a large number of small entities interacting according to simple rules | Economic activity is driven by a small number of large entities operating within the constraints of complex regulations |
8 | Effective innovation results from contrarian thinking, individual initiative, and the voluntary exchange of property | Efficient implementation of government planning requires conformity of opinion, collective action, and the coerced transfer of property |
9 | Standards of living for the many increase permanently as they utilize improved products and services conceived by the few | Standards of living for the many increase temporarily as they utilize property redistributed from the few |
10 | Altruism is using one's own resources in concrete acts to help specific individuals | Altruism is obligating the resources of others for broad-brush programs to help mankind in the abstract |
Rights exists solely as a way to fairly decide whose will shall prevail in cases where two or more people disagree. They do not exist for the purpose of enslaving one person for the benefit of another (e.g., the "right" to free medical care.)
Liberty is the right to do whatever does not infringe the rights of others. Rights empower you to help yourself, free from interference by others.
Tyranny makes you a serf to be used by the elite to further their own power. Once upon a time, the nobility used religion to convince the serfs they had to serve the nobility. Modernly, the elite use good people's feelings of altruism to convince them to enslave both themselves and their neighbors. It's basically the same con game, just using a more sophisticated hook.
Funny how dissent is NOW a bad thing.
Obama keeps shoving these socialist wannbe communists down our throats and the asshats in Congress keep letting it happen.
Time for unemployment to rise..
I’m sure ‘an America safe from all guns’ is in there somewhere also
Great post!
I expect to see it again.
ARBEIT MACHT FREI!
Good information here. Thanks!
No thanks.
This is an attempt for government ownership and takeover.
This reminds me - I have a new rifle that needs to be sighted-in.
Talk about the 3rd Reich being re-created on an accelerated pace!
Small wonder about every tyrannical govt is approving of Obama.
We need to rid the country of this ass wipe, the moron republicans can go also.
Also, did he write the bill of rights posted here with the Bill of Tyranny?
vaudine
Hope Sunstine and Obama will be wearing Kevlar gloves because they will be playing with fire as over a million and one-half Americans protested today in support of the US Constitution and many millions more watched it on TV wishing they could be there to support it too.
If they think people were against them by protesting today, they best not test Americans by push through a plan that basically would be spitting upon constituents and kicking them in the shins to appease Pelosi and Obama as well. Most Americans were unable to attend the protest in DC, but they are 100% behind cleaning up the corruption that is composed of our elected representatives and will do what is required to save our nation from them.
Yep. My dad and uncles all did their part to put a stop to the Nazi menace the last time. I'll happily follow in their footsteps.
