Apparently the ACORN videos escaped your attention. Those were what he referred to in the "going to jail" statement, and he is telling the truth, these people should be going to jail, but as Beck said, and he was right, all they will do is throw the ACORN lower level people under the bus and keep on truckin'. So, no the "big thing" passed you by somehow, four ACORN workers fired and the census severing ties(at least on the surface)with ACORN was the Big Thing.
Sounds great! Where is the Magic Lamp we rub to make this happen?
I will be on board with anything that has an opportunity for success. Freepers participation in the Tea Parties was effective. Our outrage and contacting our Congressmen killed amnesty awhile back. We can be effective but let’s see the details.
I don’t give a dang if he has ADD. He has accomlished more than all of us sitting on our butts at our computers.
Thank you for your service in Iraq, but don’t use that as an excuse to bring down Beck. These are two different situations.
Could Beck have been executint a head-fake maneuver and in fact bring on Douglass Hagmann to disclose the “hard evidence” Hagmann says he has regarding explicit threats of higher-ups at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and FOX if they discuss eligibility for president concerns of obama. In the article Hagmann begins by stating this information is larger than Watergage. Beck said on his show last week that this information he would divuldge next week was
bigger than Watergate. This is a tangential association, but what Beck presented on Saturday was a tepid dissappointment. No specifics. Not even titilating.
That's my layperson's opinion. I'm certainly no psychiatrist.
yes indeed...this world is a battle field. But have fun too everyone! Don’t hate these poor possessed souls just as we need to not hate our own darkside so that it will flee us eventually.
So you read David Horwitz? Great. He is a great addition to the conservative cause.
Unfortunately the masses of voters do not read Horwitz, The Heritage Foundation, etc.
We are lucky to have people like Beck and Limbaugh who can reach the very people that conservatives need to reach.
It is always interesting that everyone knows how to to everyone else’s job better than the person they are “helping”.
I wonder how many of the critics are #1 or even #3 in their own chosen field.
If only everyone could and would perform their own job at the same level of competence they expect out of others.
I wish I could add to your wonderful comments, but you said it all.
Thank you so much....Amen.
Aside from liking everthing you said, I particularly like the following sentence: “It’s the wellspring of his peculiar genius...”
Thank you again.
What makes you think that? I heard of that through plenty of media. What I asked was a legitimate question. "Is this the Big Thing that he has promoting the last week?" I was wondering if the Quarentine Plan was the big thing. If he broke the ACORN story, more power to him. But he certainly had no monopoly on it. He seems to be doing a terrific job shining a light on the corruption in Hussein's administration.
He just blew the biggest story of the week by not going wall to wall with the coverage of the rally in D.C.
What I don't get however, is the contentious nature of your reply. At least it seems contentious to me. If I am misinterpreting your tone, I will stand corrected.
Cheers!
As far as I can see, the arrests he was hoping for may have backfired—with the undercover filmmakers become the legal targets instead.
I think Beck has obviously had an incredible touch across the media, and great success with his books and radio and TV programs. The last two weeks he became more influential still.
But I can’t quite tell how close he is to becoming unhinged, and whether he’s been working up to some great ‘third-party’ movement over the last year. If so, I’m afraid he’s at risk of losing it in some sort of political messiah complex, and this may be the start of it.
I hope not, because he’s been so right on so much.
Like a flash mob.
He just blew the biggest story of the week by not going wall to wall with the coverage of the rally in D.C.
I sounds to me (I could wrong) you missed the first minutes of his program yesterday. He admitted being very upset and depressed he could not be in Washington with the rest of the folks. His job required him to broadcast from his studio in NY. He was very upset about this.
More than any other radio personality, even including Dennis Prager, Beck thinks thematically rather than episodically, that is, reacting to events. He clearly sees the threat to the nation and pulls together the threads to explain the motivation and methods of the Obama administration. He explores in depth, for example, the relationship between Obama and Acorn and the influence of George Soros and the implications for American liberty and does so in a way that makes the whole pattern plain and understandable.
On first impression one would not detect that Glenn Beck has a extremely facile mind. He is probably as bright as Levin and carries a great deal of charisma and an unassuming boy next-door kind of likability. In my judgment, Glenn Beck's greatest liability is what I detect to be a tendency towards bipolar excess. A recovering alcoholic, he might be what they describe as on a "dry drunk." This has nothing whatever to do with the quality of [t]his analysis but it does have to do with his emotional stability. I hope and trust that he can `maintain a true course because he represents a very valuable voice for conservatism/libertarianism.
More, he puts together the whole package and illustrates the very real multifaceted threat to our liberties presented by the Manchurian Marxist.
Kenneth Ablow?
My original post was meant as an observation made by someone familiar with this disease and not an attempt at any sort of diagnosis (blue collar working guy here). No offense was intended by me and I'm sure the same holds true of nathanbedford.
You obviously have no first hand knowledge other than the "tripe" the media spreads concerning bipolar disease.
If you google "famous people with bipolar disease" maybe you would feel less offended.
BTW, I like Beck too.
Quaranteen Beck?
Sounds good to me.
“I am staying away from his show for the next 6 months or so until he gets it together”
Go to Kenya and take obama with you!
I could wrong = I could be wrong
I understand bipolar disease, even know people with it. It serves no purpose to suggest he has it........he has readily acknowledged alcoholism, if he had this he would say so. Armchair psychiatrists should stand down.
I have already been told to “bugger off” by another FReeper. I am simply standing up for my man, Glenn Beck. There is no need to give the liberals untruthful ammunition. Next they will be saying he has a mental problem.
Beck has an audience Beck has read ‘Rules for Radicals’ Beck stays on topic and continues to hammer and hammer and hammer...he’s not like Sean who covers it one night and moves on....Beck hammers...whatever he has in mind, I’ll trust him...so let’s just wait and see...BO has jumped the shark...desperation has set in and it should....he’s toast he’s done...
