And when the “Republican’ts had that power, they were absolutely worthless. Even the crybaby Democrats controlled them when they had a very strong majority in both houses and the White House.

They even made a move to guarantee the Democrats an equal voice. Today, the Democrats have completely shut them out of the process as a gesture of thanks. And the Republicans (majority) still believe they have to cooperate and be a part of what ever crumbs the Democrats hand them.

But most of them either vote right along with the Democrats, or they shiver in their chairs in fear of their angry voters who put them in office. It is clearly all about their pathetic careers and retirement benefits, not their principles or standing up for Conservative Principles.

No question, they all get Potomac Fever when they come to DC. I mean, where else can you get a cushy gig like that? They are terrified of leaving and the thought of having to get a real job.

One thing Republicans will never understand is that they are going to get bashed no matter what, so they may as well stand for something.

Agree that Republicans have largely squandered their leadership opportunities in the past.
